Reidy close to Ireland chance

This means if there's an injury or illness in the squad before Saturday's clash then Reidy would be in the full-squad for the first time.

Forest manager Paul Hart was pleased with the news and told the club's official website: "I'm delighted for him because he derserves recognition."

The 21-year-old has been a regular member of the Ireland U21 side and has hit form this season for The Reds scoring five goals in 13 games including the equaliser against East Midlands rivals Derby County.

He currently still lies behind Chelsea's Damien Duff and Everton's Kevin Kilbane but it's only a matter of time before he gets his big break.

Forest midfielder Stephen McPhail, on loan from Leeds United, has already been named in Brian Kerr's squad.
