Scunthorpe desperate for a win - if game survives!

The mercury has been as low as -15 in the North Lincolnshire area this week and Scunthorpe will assess the state of the Glanford Park pitch once a covering of snow, left in place to protect the playing surface, has been removed.

If the game goes ahead it will be a must-win for the home side, who have collected maximum points just four times since Ian Baraclough replaced Southampton-bound Nigel Adkins in the hotseat.

"This league doesn't let you dwell on defeats," captain Cliff Byrne told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

"If you want to stay in the Championship, you've got to roll on again. We'll be fully focused for the next game, I've got no doubt about that."
