Skipper out as Stoke look for first pre-season win

The Potters are yet to win in pre-season but manager Tony Pulis has been pleased with the performances his players have been putting in while he looks for further fresh faces to boost his squad, who defied the pundits with an excellent first season in the top flight.

New signing Dean Whitehead is set for a second appearance in Stoke colours but captain Abdoulaye Faye looks likely to miss out with a hip injury.
