Stoke to move for Rogers

Irish international Clarke is a target for both West Ham and Sunderland after saying he that wants a move away from the Britannia Stadium and reports suggest that Stoke have lined up Rogers as a replacement.

28-year-old Rogers was one of five players transfer-listed by Gary Megson at the end of last season and unlike David Johnson has not yet earned a recall to the first-team fold.

His sending off in last week's reserve game with Notts County and the signing of Gino Padula make it very difficult to see a future for Rogers at the City Ground.
