Amidst the hype generated by Sven Goran Eriksson's arrival at Meadow Lane, Forest were beaten 2-1 after missing a host of chances.

"We had 17 efforts at goal with five on target and they had four efforts on goal with three on target," boss Davies told BBC Radio Nottingham.

"We're still rusty around the goal and we know that. We had enough chances in the first-half to kill the game off.

"You can't have that amount of chances and not hit the target, and that is really where the problem lies."
