Nottingham Forest have confirmed that striker Nathan Tyson has suffered knee ligament damage and will be out of action for four months after being injured just six minutes into the new League One season.

"There's no operation required and there's no other damage to anything else in or around his knee," boss Colin Calderwood told the club website.

"But it's still a major injury and a big blow to Nathan."
