Wilson told his club's website: "The game was never likely to be on once we saw the conditions on Wednesday morning.
"The referee called it right and there were quite a few games called off up and down the country.
"In our case, there was no option. If we had attempted to play at 7.45pm the pitch would have been bone hard and quite risky for the players."
