But he played 45 minutes in his first outing since the injury flared up again in the 2-1 defeat at Portsmouth at the end of last month.
Wilson looked assured as Forest defeated Port Vale at the City Ground and he could now be in line for a place on the bench when Billy Davies` side travel to East Midlands rivals Leicester on Monday night.
