World Cup Forest: Djebbour in Algeria Squad

Coach Vahid Halihodzic, who must reduce his squad to 23 before the FIFA deadline of June 2, has also named former Nottingham Forest midfielder Adlene Guedioura of Crystal Palace in his initial group.

Djebbour is unlikely to be a Red for much longer of course after struggling to make an impact since joining on loan from Olympiakos of Greece.

Gonzalo Jara, out of contract at the City Ground this summer, is also set to be part of the Chile squad that enters the tournament as dark horses despite being drawn in a tough group that also contains Spain and Holland.

One other Forest link comes from Australia defender Jason Davidson. The 22-year-old left-back who plays for Heracles in Holland is the son of Alan Davidson who made a handful of appearances for the club in the 1984/85 season.
