Johnson Wants Out

Nottingham Forest forward David Johnson has requested a transfer from the club

.

Johnson fell out with new Forest boss Gary Megson during last week's FA Cup game against Peterbrough after refusing to pass on information while warming-up as a sub.

"David and I had a chat about it and it seems we have a different opinion on the matter" said Megson.

Megson also said "He hasnt been fined yet but its obvious created some tension which for a club in our position, is not healthy. David obviously wants the best for not only the club but also for himself and if he feels that he would be more suited at a different club then that will be the best possible decision for both parties "

Megson added: "He believes he's fourth-choice striker but there's no such thing. Who I select comes down to ability, form, fitness and the number of goals a striker has scored. He's not officially on the transfer list but it's David's call he be made available."

Johnson has been linked with moves to League One outfit Hull City and Championship side Wolves over the past week and after this request, it may be very hard for him to stay despite him being an icon at this club.
