Nottingham Forest welcome Manchester City on Saturday night in the kind of fixture that can shape a manager's future, and Oliver Glasner knows it.
Forest have taken just one point from a possible 15, which leaves them second-bottom of the Premier League and only one point above Sunderland.
The Austrian admitted this week that his job could be on the line after the 2-0 defeat at Brentford, though he has also said he would not be personally affected by an exit, since he could simply go home to his family.
After the Brentford game, Glasner issued a pointed message to his players, telling them it was time to stop making compromises. If they did not follow his way of working, he said, "the sixth manager will come in". That line was delivered on Saturday, but it is still the backdrop to this week's build-up.
He is Forest's fifth head coach since August last year, which gives the warning real force. Owner Evangelos Marinakis is known as a decisive figure, and former Forest manager Sean Dyche has publicly offered support to Glasner, noting that wastefulness in front of goal was his own problem too.
The visit of City is a big test. Maresca's side arrive with their own defensive concerns, so there is a chance for Forest to cause problems, but they have not shown much evidence of it lately. Kick-off is at 9.30pm on Saturday.
