Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche has moved to clarify his recent comments directed at Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim, blaming "clickbait" for twisting his words.
Dyche had previously suggested that if he were at Old Trafford, he would play 4-4-2 and give the players "basic rules."
Today, Dyche insisted he has "maximum respect for all managers" and was merely suggesting that a simpler style might have worked better for the players in place.
He praised Amorim for adapting his approach by playing "quicker forward and longer," demonstrating good coaching by adapting to the team's needs without changing his core philosophy.
