Always Hard To Tell Who Will Make it

The 19-year-old defender has a fine pedigree having been on the books of both Liverpool and the Reds while also playing for England in the 2011 U-17 World Cup.

Having spent two spells on loan with Tamworth in the 2012/13 season he has now agreed a one-year deal with the Lambs and manager Dale Belford believes he has pulled off something of a coup.

Speaking to the Tamworth Herald, Belford outlined his belief that a full season of 'competitive football' could be the making of the player.

"He's been a little unfortunate over the last 12 months with his departure from Liverpool and subsequently Nottingham Forest's decision to change direction with their under-21's."

His England team-mates at the U-17 World Cup included Raheem Sterling, already capped by the full national side, and Regan will hopefully forge a good career in the game but many a youngster has fallen by the wayside despite seemingly being set for the stars and the decisions that have to be made about their future are among the hardest a football club has to make.
