Beaten but upbeat: Forest look for quick Leeds lift

Last updated : 27 November 2011 By Forest

Leeds United are the visitors with both sides looking to bounce back quickly from weekend defeats, the Whites at home to Yorkshire rivals Barnsley and Forest edged out at high-flying Cardiff City.

"It was a battling three points and I'm pleased about that as Forest are a tough team who set themselves up to make sure that we didn't take them out easily," was the verdict of Cardiff manager Malky Mackay after a single goal from Joe Mason was enough to cement their place in the top three of the Championship.

Substitute Mason was introduced after a solid away display from Steve Cotterill's side had frustrated their in-form opponents.

"We have played better than that," admitted the Reds boss.

"We were better in the second half than the first and I thought we deserved a draw.

"It was a game littered with silly free-kicks and I didn't think we got many decisions from the referee."
