Crewe boss wanted more

Neil Sorvel's equaliser gave Crewe a vital point in their own battle to beat the drop and Gradi felt that Forest had handed the initiative to his side with a change in tactics.

"Gary may think he might not have done the right thing going to 4-5-1, he gave us the ascendancy," said the Crewe boss.

"We did dominate the game from then and we looked as if we were going to score.

"I think Forest were happy to get the point at the end. They weren't throwing people forward and their full-backs weren't going forward."
