Dawson for Real?

This morning's Daily Star suggests that Real Madrid will make a summer move for former Nottingham Forest central defender Michael Dawson as they embark on a massive rebuilding job following another trophyless season.

22-year-old Dawson made 91 appearances for the Reds before joining Tottenham in a double deal with Andy Reid in January 2005.

He recently signed a long-term contract at White Hart Lane but could be seen as a potential replacement for Jonathan Woodgate at the Bernabeu.
