Derby countdown: Clough has faith in Rams

Last updated : 26 September 2012 By Forest

As the build-up begins to Sunday's big East Midlands derby at the City Ground both the Reds and the Rams will be looking to bounce back from weekend losses.

Derby went down 2-1 at home to Burnley despite taking an early lead and Clough feels their haul of 8 points from 7 games is not a true reflection.

"We have played well all season and we were delighted with the general overall performance against Burnley," he said.

"A defeat like that is exceptionally hard to take because we created enough chances to win three games.

"But if we keep playing the way we are, the wins will come more consistently. We will keep going, we will keep trying to play and keep creating as many chances as we have been doing."

Defender Jake Buxton meanwhile told his club's official website: “Be sure, that we will go out there on Sunday at the City Ground, and put a performance on that warrants making every Derby supporter proud.”
