Fans promised major say on new ground

Chief executive Mark Arthur has said: "We were looking at the City Ground because in 10 to 15 years' time, quite simply our facilities will not be good enough.

"We began to think outside the box and consider other sites in and around Nottingham and there was really only one which was suitable - the site in Clifton.

"But the City Ground is the spiritual home of Nottingham Forest Football Club - the place where league championships were won and European Cups paraded.

"So if Nottingham Forest fans say they want to stay then we will stay, but the City Ground has its problems and for me, there is no real choice."
