"It (the pitch) is a disgrace and so are some of the surroundings," he said after the Reds gained another crucial point to move them on to 50, four ahead of Norwich City who have two games left.

"It was not rolled and not prepared properly. It was not a pitch on which to play football.

"As far as the spectators were concerned that must rank as a poor-quality game with little or no entertainment."

Dexter Blackstock gave Forest the lead before Brett Ormerod levelled.

"We started badly, improved, but in the second half got the crosses in but could not finish," was Davies' verdict.
