Brynjar Gunnarsson opened the scoring mid-way through the first half with a left foot strike that beat Wimbledon 'keeper Lee Worgan.

Wimbledon were a different team after the break and two goals put them 2-1 ahead. Michael Gordon got the first after a sweet right foot shot and Jamie Mackie slotted home after a defensive mistake by David Tarka.

Forest then upped a gear and began to cause The Dons some problems. Brian Cash's pace down the left wing was opening up space and Eugen Bopp should have done better with a free 20-yard effort.

A good strong challenge from Gregor Robertson released Cash down the left where it eventually found Eoin Jess in the box to equalize.

Only one side looked like winning the game from then on and Jess found himself one-on-one with the 'keeper a few minutes from the end to secure all three points for Ian McParland's side to the delight of John Thompson and Michael Dawson in the stands.
