Long-serving Notts County defender Mike Edwards has been granted a testimonial year to mark his ten years with the Magpies across two spells.
Part of the celebrations will be a friendly against Forest at Meadow Lane on a date to be confirmed in the build-up to the 2016/17 season.
Edwards told the official Notts County website: "It's good for the city of Nottingham with it being announced as the City of Football so it can bring the two clubs together. It would be fantastic if it were to be more of a regular occurrence."
