As the Scot prepares sign a longer-term contract with the club, he is moving fast to stamp his own mark on a squad which looks set for a disappointing end to the season.
Quoted in the Nottingham Post, he said: "I have decided who I do not want here and I have spoken to a few players privately about that.
"I will be speaking to another three or four as well, to tell them that if they cannot live up to expectations, then there will be no point in them being here."
