The WBC super-middleweight champions won a clear points decision against Glen Johnson in Atlantic City on Saturday night and now faces WBA supremo Andre Ward in a bid to unify the titles and become in some people's opinion the best fighter ever to come out of Great Britain.

Promoter Eddie Hearn said before the fight that if Froch was to win the Super Six then he would look to put on a homecoming show at the boxer's beloved Nottingham Forest.

"A massive night at the City Ground is something that Carl has dreamed of and I'm going to do everything I can to make sure it can happen," Hearn told the Evening Post.

"Carl will be doing everything he can in the ring to turn that dream into reality and the least we can do is match his efforts when we represent him."
