Gardner keen on longer Port Vale stay

The midfielder, a free agent next summer, said: "If Colin Calderwood feels that I am surplus to requirements at Nottingham Forest, then Port Vale would be a great move.

"It is a lovely club with great facilities and people around it and there is a good buzz around the club."
