Kinnear has sympathy for successor Megson

Kinnear, who was replaced in January 2005 by Megson with Forest near the foot of the Championship, said: “They need to change more than the managers at Forest, that’s for sure.

“I’m not surprised Megson has gone, because that was a very difficult job he had there.

“They have sold every decent player they had and I think some of those behind the scenes need looking at.

“The people I really feel sorry for now are the club’s supporters. They should not have had to put up with seeing their club fall to such levels.”
