Macheda the Danger Man for Forest

Although the Reds play-off hopes have all but disappeared, caretaker manager Gary Brazil has urged his players to end their long, winless run and inject some pride into their end of season.

Opponents Birmingham have plenty to play for as they battle against relegation to League One and will be pinning their hopes on Manchester United loanee Federico Macheda.

He has netted nine goals in fourteen appearances for Blues after three strikes for Doncaster Rovers earlier in the season. Two of those were against Forest at the Keepmoat Stadium in September.

Manager Lee Clark, however, felt even Macheda was guilty of passing up goalscoring opportunities in the defeat at Middlesbrough last weekend.

“The form he is in, he shouldn’t have any other thoughts but to shoot," said Clarke. "It’s something we have to address in these coming games.”
