Megson: Just a one-off

Forest's recent run of good form was brought spectacularly to an end by promotion-chasing Ipswich who hit six goals without reply to revive their hopes of a top two finish.

With two home games this week against Leeds and Wigan, Megson knows his side need to bounce back quickly and although disappointed with yesterday's display, believes the Reds will do so.

"We were second to every ball and it was only a matter of time before they scored and we had a good hiding," admitted the Forest boss afterwards.

"But I am hopeful that it was just a one-off. There were extenuating circumstances but if I go into them they will be viewed as excuses."
