Perch came off injured towards the end of that game but should be fit to play against Wigan tomorrow and Megson said: "He can run all day, he's quick, can get forward and pass it well, controls it well and heads it.
"The other night he was marvellous. He will get better and better."
The Forest boss is hopeful that David Friio, Alan Rogers, Scott Dobie and Andy Melville will all return from injury and illness in time for the City Ground clash.
