Barnsley have completed the signing of Goran Lovre, a midfielder from Groningen in Holland to add to the captures of Jason Shackell and Jim O'Brien already this summer.

Free agent former Tyke Daniel Bogdanovic meanwhile is wanted by Sheffield United, Swansea City, Burnley and Hull.

A takeover at Cardiff City has seen them linked with an audacious swoop to sign Craig Bellamy from Manchester City.

Elsewhere in Wales, Lee Trundle is keen to rejoin Swansea on a permanent basis from Bristol City.

Leicester City will not allow Forest's play-off conqueror DJ Campbell to leave for Blackpool on a permanent deal without a substantial fee being paid by the Premier League newcomers.

Gary Hooper of Scunthorpe is another striker in demand with Middlesbrough looking like his most likely destination.

Newcomers Norwich City have snapped up free agent defender Elliott Ward, formerly of Coventry while Preston North End want to squeeze another season out of veteran midfielder Nicky Butt.

QPR are in the market for a new goalkeeper and have been linked with both Paddy Kenny of Sheffield United and Peterborough's Joe Lewis.
