On This Day: Turf Moor Reverse for Reds

Last updated : 22 February 2016 By Forest

In what was a key clash towards the top of the Championship, goals from Sam Vokes and Scott Arfield secured a 3-1 win for the home side, Djamel Abdoun netting a consolation for the Reds.

That result kept Burnley in second place, eight points and three places above Forest who had arrived in Lancashire on the back of a 14-match unbeaten run.

Burnley ended the season with promotion to the top-flight and, although they were relegated immediately, they have maintained continuity since then with Sean Dyche still in charge and goalscorers Arfield and Vokes both on the scoresheet at the weekend.

22 February has been a happy day for Forest in the past, however, Marlon Harewood scoring four times in a 6-0 win against Stoke City in 2003.
