Plymouth game assumes massive importance

Megson was left literally scratching his head at times during the Coventry game as his team failed to show any of the qualities normally associated with their manager, namely strength, organisation and spirit.

That will worry him most as he prepares for tomorrow's game as he knows that the fans would have kept supporting the team if they got relegated after a heroic effort but not if they produce another six displays like that.

The manager's fears about losing the supporters will not materialise tomorrow. The game is expected to be a sell-out and where there's life there is still hope.

Forest supporters will play their part but they will need some spark on the pitch to convince them that the players are as bothered about relegation as the fans.
