Portsmouth manager Steve Cotterill is set to take over as the new manager of Nottingham Forest sometime today. Forest have been on the search for a new boss following the departure of Steve McClaren who resigned earlier this month.

BBC Radio Solent understands he will unveiled as manager this afternoon after the two clubs agreed a compensation package last night. Cotterill joined Pompey in June 2010 from Notts County but now heads to struggling Forest who are currently 21st in the Championship.

Portsmouth have cancelled Cotterills news conference for today, while he was at the training ground saying his goodbyes before heading to the City Ground.
