PSV too strong for Forest

Although not the force that saw them crowned European Cup winners in 1988, PSV remain one of the powerhouses of the Dutch game and will be keen to make a stronger title challenge in the upcoming season.

Coach Fred Rutten named a strong squad for their mini-tour to England which will also take in a game against Middlesbrough on Friday night, including new signings Georginio Wijnaldum and Dries Mertens.

Attacking midfielder Wijnaldum showed his quality with two goals at the City Gorund while Belgian striker Mertens added the third.

Paul Anderson netted for Forest who will now turn their attentions back to squad strengthening ahead of the Championship kick-off. Latest rumours on that front concern central defender Anthony Gardner and striker James Beattie.
