Sheff Wed V Nottm Forest at Hillsborough - Match Preview

 Coke worry for Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Giles Coke has had a scan on his hamstring and is likely to miss the home game against Nottingham Forest.

Coke was recalled to the starting line-up by caretaker-boss Stuart Gray, who guided the Owls to only their second win of the season in midweek against Leicester, but picked up a strain.

Jose Semedo and Stephen McPhail are on stand-by if Coke fails to make it, while defender Lewis Buxton is also in a race to prove his fitness after missing out on Tuesday night with a similar problem.

Glenn Loovens made his debut in midweek after signing a short-term deal and is expected to continue, while recalled trio Jacques Maghoma, Kieran Lee and Atdhe Nuhiu are also hoping to retain their places.

Jamaal Lascelles comes back into the reckoning for Nottingham Forest while Darius Henderson could also be available against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.

Greg Halford was recalled to the starting line-up against Millwall in midweek as Lascelles served a one-match suspension, so boss Billy Davies will have to decide who partners Jack Hobbs in the centre of defence in South Yorkshire.

Henderson missed the 2-2 draw at The Den on Tuesday night after suffering a knock on the back of a leg and Davies is monitoring the striker's fitness.

On-loan Sunderland midfielder David Vaughan is also nearing a return after missing three matches with a hamstring problem.
