Nottingham Forest host Swansea on Thursday night in a play-off clash which will be concluded at the Liberty Stadium on Monday with the winners heading to Wembley.
Both sides ended the 46 game Championship season in fine form and Rodgers sees no reason to change his preparations despite the different format.
"We'll go into every game to win the game, simple as that, there's no other way," he said.
"Obviously tactically we need to be strong, like we have been all season. It's going to be a fantastic atmosphere, but we've got great confidence at the moment. You see in the performance on Saturday the quality that is out there gives me as a manager great hope."
