Trial By TV For Improving Forest

Dougie Freedman’s side have lifted the atmosphere at the City Ground with back-to-back wins on home soil, Saturday’s 3-0 victory against Fulham coming seven days after another three goals were put past Reading.

The manager felt that those victories have been coming for some time and that the Reds are finally getting the results that their performances have deserved.

Defender Eric Lichaj praised Freedman’s tactics after the Fulham game, telling the official club website that the work that had been put in on set-pieces also paid off with Matt Mills scoring twice and just being denied a hat-trick by the woodwork.

The demands of the television schedules means Freedman will now prepare the squad for trips to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday evening and Blackburn Rovers the following Monday with those two clubs currently directly above Forest in the Championship standings.
