The forward has missed the last five matches with an ankle problem.
He was in the travelling party for the defeat at Sheffield United on Tuesday night but did not make the matchday squad as he had only resumed full training the previous day.
Davies hopes Tyson will be available on Saturday after getting more training under his belt.
"He may be available," said the Scot. "We took him to Sheffield United to let him do the warm-up and get him running.
"He`s got a little bit to go yet but hopefully we will have him with us at the weekend."
