Vital win puts Forest back in the hunt

With Burnley reduced to ten men in the first half of Tuesday night's Championship clash the stage was set for Nottingham Forest to finally end their winless run and revive their play-off hopes.

The Clarets made it mighty difficult however but, just as the nerves were being stretched to breaking point for the home faithful, David McGoldrick netted a crucial goal. The striker made the game safe in injury time.

With Derby doing Forest a favour and beating Leeds at Pride Park, the gap between the Reds and sixth place is now just one point as attention switches to Friday night's big televised game at Norwich.
